Production Process

Essenceflora uses a Quality System applied in all stages of the production process:

• Formation of Eucalyptus Citriodora seedlings,
• Planting, in plant management
• Distillation process
• Production of Citriodora Eucalyptus Oil.

The planting of seedlings respects the environmental legislation that does not pose risks to the environment. The collection and transport of leaves also follow the same restrictions in addition to ensuring the safety of employees.

• Solid Waste

After the extraction of oil or material, consisting of leaves and branches, it is used as biofuel (%) in the generation of steam and (%) as biomass in eucalyptus plantations.

• Liquid Waste

The water generated by the condensation of the steam, after the oil is extracted, goes to the cooling tower, where, in the closed circuit, it is used as industrial cooling water.

• Gaseous Waste

A boiler is a gas washer. The particulate material used in this process goes to the agricultural sector as biomass.

In compliance with national and international laws, no pesticides or pesticides are used in eucalyptus forests.

The oils of eucalyptus leaves are formed by a complex mixture of components, involving 50 to 100 or even more volatile organic compounds, among which are:

Citronelal - min. 70%

Citronelol - max. 11%

Isopulegol - 2.0 to 8.0%

The eucalyptus oil present in the plant, according to studies, is related to a defense against insects, resistance to cold in the initial stage and reduction of water loss.
